Healthy active mum ruined by standard surgery

Donation protected
January 11th was supposed to be the end of suffering but turned in to a disaster.

Mum, who is a healthy, active, adventurous woman, was scheduled in for a standard procedure of a hip replacement. They told her the younger she is, the better she will recover. Only to come out of surgery with her foot no longer functioning and no DR has ever seen anything like it and don’t know what the DR has done. Her whole life is ruined.

She has had slight pain in her hip and not being able to walk fast or run like she always has done before, and loved every minute of running. So she accepted the surgery date and looked forward to get a new working hip.

Just days before the surgery they told her that the doctor is sick and will not be able to go on with the surgery. The options were - get this new doctor she hasn’t spoken too or know nothing about, or push this appointment months back.
since she already had spoken to her work about this, she choose to accept this new unknown DR. Which later would’ve been the worst regret of her life.
She goes through surgery and wakes up with no feeling in her foot. She can’t move it and the doctors didn’t give her much and just said wait it out it might be the anesthesia. She was supposed to stay for only 2 days but ended up 6-7 days in the hospital. That made her know something was not quite right.
finally the Hospital admits that they never seen anything like this and they don’t know what has happened with her foot.

They give her the scary news that the only thing that they can do is wait and HOPE the nerves will find the way back on their own or she will never be able to walk normally again. And couple of days after she get told from work that they won’t extend her work contract, which leaves her unemployed from 25 of March 2024.

She went to the neurologist who also gave the devastating news that he has no idea what the dr has done to her and is not able to help her.

My mums been through a lot and still she’s trying to stay positive.
She fought breast cancer and won, her motorbike got stolen, she opened her own beauty salon and changed career when she was in her 50s, only to be ripped off by the laser machine owner that refused to repair her machine (which was in the contract that he should) and leaves her with a broken laser and deep in debt. On top of that COVID happened which forced her to close her business and go further in debt.

My mum just can not get a break. She’s now stressed over how to be able to get a new job for the future and how to pay rent, food and loans etc, she has no idea for how long this excruciating pain in her foot will be there for and how long she won’t be able to use her foot.

all she wants to do is focus on her rehabilitation for her foot. Not worry about money issues.

if anyone has gone through the same thing please let us know anything that could help.
Right now all she can do is using her mind and think she’s moving her foot and practice that with some strengthening exercises and hope that one day her foot will be back to normal.

all donations are welcome, we will be more than happy even for the smallest ones! Every dollar will help mum a little bit on the way.
I wanna thank you all for reading my story and for helping us out. We have no other option then ask for help.
