Health Fair 2016
Over the years, Dr. Joseph Campbell has realized what is most troubling for many of the local hospital emergency rooms. The demographic served in the greater Newark area uses the emergency rooms when ill instead of seeking a physician for primary care. The care is then reactive, rather than proactive.
Our Annual Health Fair is free and open to the public. It will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 10am-3pm @
Metropolitan Cardiovascular Center
1057 Sanford Avenue
Irvington NJ, 07111
The health fair wiil provide participants with free health screenings for; high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, prostate and other cancers, HIV/Aids, glaucoma, and heart disease. Physicians and health care facilities in the general area volunteer their services to screen participants and provide educational materials on subject matter. Irregular results from screenings can be either treated on the spot or referred to specialists who can best treat their illnesses. Physician/Patient relationships are established, and trust between the two are restored.
In addition to our annual health fair, we would like to be able to continue to promote and offer “Healthy Heart” informational incentives to the community throughout the year.
Currently it takes about $14k to produce a successful Health Fair. More than 25% has been donated in the past. The Metropolitan Cardiovascular Foundation is a 501(c) (3) corporation. We are currently seeking sponsor/partnerships to continue to serve the public in this most needed capacity. We sincerely hope that you will view Metropolitan Cardiovascular Foundation’s 2016 Health Fair an endeavor worthy of support.
Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your help and support of this worthy cause.
