Healthcare is Brutal

I've been unable to work for several years due to a progressive, systemic, inflammatory disease. I underwent surgery last Spring but it was incomplete. I'm working toward getting another surgery ASAP so I can get back to work.

Last Summer, my 16 year old cat Toast suffered heat stroke while in the care of a negligent pet sitter. Many of you came through with support, especially my dear friends who put together a fundraiser. We fundraised for half of his vet bills and took the rest on ourselves. He passed, despite our best efforts.

Last Fall, my 4 year old rabbit Dahlia suddenly fell ill. Cancer was found in her chest and we let her go. I didn't post her death publicly ...I was just too overwhelmed.

Now, my darling cat Dil has cancer, at only 7 years old. We're awaiting test results that will determine the best treatment to keep him comfortable and pain-free.

In short, this sucks. I'm still unable to work and we already have thousands of dollars in vet bills we're paying off. Dil is a ray of sunshine and otherwise completely healthy. We don't want to euthanize him if the odds are good that he can beat this and still have years left in him.

I give my all to my community, their pets, their plants, their hearts. My community supports me and I support them. F*** capitalism for putting us all in this position.

I know that this community has the strength to help when it's most needed. This is that time, for me and my beloved Dil. Please help this campaign reach as far as possible.
