My name is Jeff Mullins. I have been officially "Disabled" since May of 2016.  I trashed my shoulder, and I have major issues with neuropothy in my feet from diabetes. Unable to do what I used to do....I have been driving Lyft to suppliment my Disability income....both of which are not much.  Becky, my wife has been working hard , and more hrs since I was hurt to take up the slack.  She is a LVN, and had been working Hospice, a job I could never do, but she says it "her calling". We have been just barely breaking even.  This last Christmas Eve.....Becky went to the ER....and hed we not carted her there, she would never had seen Christmas day.  She was in renal falure due to a large stone blocking the exit of her right kidney.  She also needs knee replacement...bone on bone pain is a daily issue with her.  But Social Security will not put her on Disability because they say she has not contributaed enough in the last few yrs.  While she was in the hospital for about a month....she had a small stroke.  Messing with her speech, and balance.  Still SS will not put her on Disability.  She has been trying very hard to recover these last 3 months.  In the meantime, her insurance has dropped her.  I was on her insurance....as lousy of coverage as it was it was at least something.  Now we have nothing as far as medical insurance.  I am schedualed to on Medicare in May...just another 45 days or so...this will help me, but not her.  This whole perfect storm of medical problems seems minor in each case, but they have come together to drain our bank account.  We are behined on our house payment....which is cheaper than it would cost to rent.   Today after falling 2 months behind on both our cars....they came and reposessed them both today....just 4 hrs ago.   Now I cannot even drive Lyft.  We would like to try to get at least my car back so I could resume this....but it has to be done pretty quick.  One of our dogs even needs to get to the vet....but we are even having a hard time staying in minimal groceries right now.  We are also due to have our electricity turned off within days.  Becky is almost ready to return to work....but she has to have tests and be cleared by a doctor before they let her.....but right now we can't even afford for her to go to the doctor to do this.  Its a situation of ...which came 1st the chicken or the egg?  All in all, we are on the verge of losing everything and being out on the street.  I never thought I would be asking anyone for help but here I am....asking for you're help.
