❤️Seeking funds to get healthcare for Tovah❤️
Tovah, our silly, sweet, loving bulldog recently had a ”pop” sound that, a day later, turned into the 3-legged hop and obvious pain. We hoped it would work itself out but it didn’t and we took her to the vet recommended by Pet-a-Bulls, the organization we adopted her from last year. The results were not good. Not only did we find out she has a broken leg and the shards are now floating in her leg, but there’s also evidence of severe trauma in her hind leg. The vet said its consistent with being hit by a car before we became a family or ”being kicked really, really good.”
We’ve had her on pain meds and a sedatitive the last week while we waited for news from the surgeon about recommendations. Tovah needs surgery for her to be able to keep living her best life and we, as a family, are heartbroken. It will cost $3500 give or take a few hundred they said. This is in addition to what we’ve already spent.
We don’t want her in pain any longer than she has to be, so delaying this surgery is not a option.
If you’re able to, we would be so grateful for your support. Tovah has become such a huge part of our lives and it’s awful seeing her in pain. We are firm believers that she rescued US, not the other way around. She’s brought so much joy to our household.

*update: she is at the surgeons now as of 1/10. She will be there about 10+ days pending. They’re doing knee surgeries on both legs ❤️❤️ We are still in need of funds so if you’re able, we would be very grateful. Thank you! And thank you for sharing her story.
*update 1/15- It was discovered she has a heart murmur. She will have an echo at the end of this week. Please see updates for what this means for our sweet girl. Praying for good results!!!
