I had a stroke on September 12th and have to pay for my hospital stay and ongoing care. I have been placed on disability leave and have not been allowed to work since the stroke. My wife is a schoolteacher and her salary will not cover our expenses for the rest of the year. I expect to go back to work in late November. While I am eligible for disability the payments haven't come through yet.

We need this money to cover Novembers rent and expenses and pay for the two days in intensive care and one day in the regular hospital. I have also been given a prescription for 10 pills a day to regulate my blood pressure.

This money will keep us and our two cats housed and fed for the winter and cover my medical bills and rehab from the stroke.

I do not want to ask strangers for help, but I must acknowledge that the need is there. Thank you.
