Health Insurance won't pay & treatment is working!

My wife has been through so much in her life and below is what is going on and why I am asking for help, in her own words. We are running out of the funds that close family sent us because each treatment is so expensive plus additional meds and doctors not covered either by insurance.

This is long but please read and share it because it could save someone's life!!!

Diagnosis: (The correct one after 20 yrs for me) Central Nervous System (CNS) Hypersensitivity Syndrome, also known as Central Sensitization.

Doctors: I see 2 at the same time everytime I go or talk to them over the phone. One is licensed in pain management and psychiatry and the other doctor is licensed is preventive health. Then there is the doctor who does my procedures at the center. So a total of 3 but I only see the procedure doc when i get them done but he does collaborate with the other 2 about my care before each one. They all collaborate even in the room with us. I have never had that before. They really care and that’s saying something if I'm saying it cause I lost trust in doctors years ago. I have been misdiagnosed over and over again and have had 2 back surgeries throughout the years not to mention being poked and proded all the time. And being told its all in my head or it's because of the past surgeries.

Diagnosis Means: My body has extremely heighten senses, for example hearing and visuals. Pain is also amplified to the point I begin to go into shock. Even just a gentle touch on right area can be extrusiating. Also, explains eplileptic seizures, pseudo seizures, fertility issues, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, migraines, and the list can go on. Along with that I have PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, OCD, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Even me having Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), which means I'm more flexible than others is part of this issue of mine.

Treatment:
We found a treatment that works for chronic pain and it is helping her. Also, its been used to treat mental health issues like treatment resistant depression, PTSD, OCD, and anxiety. In more recent years it is being used more for those things above and other things like CHRONIC PAIN, Fibromalygia, and Migraines. For me my pain, migraines, and mental health are all linked because of the syndrome I have. It began when I was sexually assaulted at 16 yrs old and then had a miscarriage that resulted from that assault. Throughout life things triggered me and each time the nob on my amplifier just kept getting turned up higher and higher. Then as the doctors say me working at CPS was the point where my body and mind literally said no more and the pain began to put me into shock and have seizures more. Think of your CNS as an amplifier and mine is on full blast all the time 24-7 and never lets up. Well the procedures turn the volume down on the amp and allows the CNS to reset because it creates new pathways and synapses in the brain.

The goal for me: is to reset my CNS so my amplifier as we r calling it will turn down to normal. This is not a cure for me but a way to maintain it and keep me alive, that along with trauma thearpy which i will begin when we all feel I am ready. Throughout life things both mentally and physically can trigger it again, like an injury or a mental health reason. So, I need trauma thearpy to help with that aspect which hopefully means maybe not having to get the the procedures as often as I am now. This has been the hardest and longest year of my life but we are finally making some headway!! It took me a while to see the treatments were not only helping the pain but my mental health and migraines tool!!! I won't lie the treatments are not cheap by any means and I wish more insurances would cover it, mine doesn't but few do. If they would they could save so many lives. We r barely able to do the treatments but it's been with the help from loved ones that it was even an option to try. I am so glad they were able to. The road is still a long one to find my right balance and get me back to living, finishing my Master's degree, and working but its okay. Slow and steady wins the race (Snell pace lol).
