Please send your healing powers/prayers/thoughts to my sister Lacie Shaver, who was in a head on collision last night off Hwy 84 over by the Boyd Unit curve. She was care flighted to Tyler and currently in the ICU.
She got out of minor surgery for a hip fracture a couple hours ago and her vitals look good. They had to repair her ankle, and she has many fractures in her legs. She also has 3 fractures in her lower spine on T-12, L-1, and L-2. She was moving all extremities when she went in. She had a small subarachnoid hemorrhage in her head. Was not severe enough for surgery. She’s currently on saline to draw out fluid/release pressure in her head to prevent cerebral damage. Latest is she was about to have a CT to ensure bleeding isn’t worse.
The other person involved in the collision is also from the Freestone County area and in Waco with several injuries as well. I won’t be too detailed - I don’t know if they want their business on Facebook but from what I know is they are stable and coherent. I believe they’ll be having surgery today on their leg. Please send your thoughts to that person and their family as well.
If you are in a place to give - Please do so. This is the second costly accident that has occured in my family within the past 6 months. Lacie does not have health insurance, and we really need all the help we can get.
