This campaign is an effort of paying it forward - an agreement to receive the gift of education AND pay that experience back through free Ayurvedic health consultations for communities in need. [Ayurveda is a traditional form of medicine with promising application to modern health issues. Ayurvedic healing implements herbs, nutrition, special detox regimens and yoga as part of a comprehensive approach to health and longevity.]
- All donations -big or small- are welcome and for every $150 dollars reached in our campaign, a low-income member of our community in Albuquerque, NM will receive a free health consultation. That's 60 more people with comprehensive and integrative tools for profound healing of the body, mind and spirit.
- Every single-donor donation of $108 or more receives a personal Ayurvedic consultation

AYUR-What?
We are practitioners of Ayurvedic Medicine, a holistic healing system of ancient India with profound and promising application to modern health issues. Ayurvedic healing includes herbs, nutrition, panchakarma cleansing (special detox regimens), acupressure massage, and yoga. This medicine provides a foundation in which to understand the individual and their health concerns/diseases from a unique perspective. We value the Ayurvedic method because it empowers people with practical tools to transform their health and wellbeing.
OUR GOAL
To study at Sri Krishna Ayurveda Chikitsa Kendrum, a premier Ayurvedic clinic in southern India, committed to the traditional and authentic practice of classical Ayurveda. There we will complete training in

Emma and Richard are dedicated to pursuing Ayurveda and building medical practices of their own. They have both completed their studies under Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute, recognized as one of the leading Ayurvedic school and Ayurveda health spa outside of India, with over 1600 hours of classtime.
A BIT ABOUT US
Emma, having graduated the program in 2015, has since completed over 200 additional hours of clinic training with group and individualized mentorship. She launched her consulting business, Hamsa Ayurveda LLC shortly after graduating and is dedicated to helping heal her community one person at a time. She received her BSc from Cornell University, is an avid chef and has a deep love and respect for the natural world.
Richard's involvement in the healing and alternative health world is unique and diverse. His experience includes over 15 years of yoga and meditation instruction, years of facilitating group therapy sessions in a behaviour hospital, and for the past 8 years - lead permaculture (ecological landscape and agricultural design) instruction through trainings, workshops and classes. Through his education at the Ayurvedic Institute, he is one step closer to fulfilling his dream of opening a healing and permaculture center in the US.
We are committed to bringing what we learn back to our communities in the States, and to spreading the knowledge of this system through medical practice, workshops, trainings, and eventually, our dream of developing our own holisitc health clinic that will provide outstanding, low-cost healing opportunities.
