Healing Horses in Need of a Haven

Help me save these horses from the slaughter house!
Those of you who know me know my love of animals and passion for promoting and sharing the healing power of the human-animal bond.
With a background in psychology and over 10 years experience in the animal care and behaviorism world, I have recently been blessed with the opportunity to work with horses, a lifelong dream of mine. This experience has taught me so much about life and I am looking forward to sharing what I've learned with those in need.
Sadly our operation at work is downsizing and we have several horses going to auction on Saturday, May 13. These horses are older in age and the likelihood of them being purchased and sent to a loving home is slim and and the results are grim.
Consequently the mission behind this cause is two-fold:
Help me save these amazing and loyal creatures from the slaughterhouse and in turn allow me to share my knowledge and experiences of animal assisted therapy with the community.
Funds will be directly used for purchase of the horses and boarding while volunteering in a local equine assisted learning program.
