Greetings,
We pray that these words meet you in a place of peace, love and power. We are writing to update you on some crucial information as it relates to our family. Our mother Tchaiko was recently diagnosed with a cancerous tumor, namely "carcinoma," in the kidney. Further tests show that it most likely originated somewhere else and is therefore labeled as 'aggressive." As much as we were in shock to hear this news, we also have a clear understanding of the environmental dynamics that lead to this condition being so rampant among the population.
Our mother, as you well know, is a foot soldier and dedicated to social uplift. She has birthed many meaningful initiatives on behalf of underserved and marginalized populations, especially the youth. After over 50 years of service, and at the strong age of 79, she deserves some ease and peace to be able to enjoy some of the fruit of her labor. We want to do everything we can to support our mother to beat this illness.
We have consulted with many doctors, both conventional and holistic, and have devised a plan of healing to restore her body to a cancer-free state. We are writing to ask your assistance in this time. We have identified a few essential portions of a program of healing, all with proven success in helping even terminally ill patients heal from this dis-ease. The bill is upwards of $30,000 to thoroughly address this issue with the urgency that it requires.
Phase One: Localized, holistic treatment $4,000
Phase Two: Gerson Cancer Institute ($11,000 per week): $22,000-44,000
Transportation by car to Gearson Institute: $600
Assistance with basic domestic care: $5,000
We are aware that most of you have many obligations and face challenges of your own. We are respectfully asking for your support. Every bit helps, and your sharing of this appeal with your individual and collective families and extended networks is very appreciated.
The only things covered by insurance are chemotherapy and related medications.
Thank you kindly for your generous contribution towards our Mama's healing. We pray that the assistance you give our family in this time of need is a means of rejuvenation for you and your loved ones. May the circle remain unbroken!
In peace and gratitude,
The Kofi and Iyabo
* Historical clarification of the attached video: Mama was raised in a small town called Buena Vista, Ga, in the heart of the Blackbelt.
