#HealingForSimon: Support My Metabolic Fight Against Cancer

My Name is Simon—Here’s My Story
Hello, and thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page. I’m Simon, and for nearly 30 years I’ve lived with ulcerative colitis, an auto-immune condition that I finally managed to bring under control after years of trial and error. Just as I was beginning to feel hopeful about my long-term health, I received a diagnosis that changed everything: stage 1 colorectal cancer.
Why I’m Fundraising
In just seven months, what began as an early diagnosis with no visible tumour has progressed to a 12mm malignant growth. The only option offered by the NHS is drastic surgery: complete removal of my large bowel, colon, and anus, leaving me with a permanent stoma and colostomy bag. While this would address both the cancer and my colitis, it would also mean a life forever changed.
After years of hard work to control my colitis, the thought of losing so much of myself is devastating. I am finally at a stage where my ulcerative colitis is as controlled as it has ever been. I have no outward symptoms, cramps, pain, or other side effects like diarrhoea or bleeding. To lose this hard-won stability is unthinkable.
Seeking Another Way: Metabolic Therapy
Determined to find a less drastic, research-backed approach, I’ve turned to metabolic therapy, inspired by Professor Thomas Seyfried’s work. This method targets cancer’s fuel sources—glucose and glutamine—using a combination of off-label medications, supplements, and lifestyle interventions.
I am already using several alternative treatments, including:
Off-label medications with promising research in cancer care
The top eight supplements with the strongest evidence for colorectal anti-cancer effects, based on clinical studies and trials
Unfortunately, these alone cost over £350 per month. The full Press/Pulse protocol recommended by Professor Seyfried requires a glutamine antagonist, which costs £3,000–£4,000 for just 12 weeks—well beyond my means. I am currently relying on more affordable alternatives like EGCG and fenbendazole, which may not be as effective but have shown promise.
Other therapies I hope to access with your help include:
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
- Molecular Hydrogen Therapy
- Cold Therapy
- IV Vitamin C Therapy
- IR Therapy with Methylene Blue
If I can secure additional funding, I would also pursue complementary therapies such as meditation, acupuncture, and energy healing. While not cures on their own, these have shown potential benefits in pre-clinical studies.
The Turning Point
After months of searching for help within the NHS and seeing my cancer progress despite my best efforts, I realised I could not do this alone. The only option offered—major surgery—would take away so much of my quality of life. I believe there is another way, but I need your support to pursue it.
How Your Support Will Help
Your donations will go directly towards:
- Off-label medications and supplements (£350/month)
- RGCC Analysis of my cancer to determine the best drugs to use
- Glutamine antagonist for the Press/Pulse protocol (£3,000–£4,000 for 12 weeks)
- Additional therapies (HBOT, IV Vitamin C, and more)
- Complementary therapies to support healing and wellbeing
Every donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to a future where I can heal without losing my quality of life to major surgery.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing my story—awareness is just as valuable.
Sharing and Giving Back
I’ve found hope and community in Bernardo’s https://skool.com/CancerWarriors group and have volunteered to build the https://metabolictherapy.com website to help others learn about metabolic therapy.
I’m committed to documenting my journey, sharing what works and what doesn’t, and building resources for others who may one day walk this path.
