When disaster relief subsides, survivors are left carrying trauma.
Healing Together Nepal (HT Nepal) works alongside trusted local leaders to strengthen the care, knowledge, and relationships already rooted in communities.
We're training teachers, nurses, health workers, and Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) in flash-flood affected areas to provide safe, compassionate, and trauma-informed mental health support in homes, schools, health centers, and community spaces. We will also provide a modest stipend to FCHVs who travel extra distances to reach affected families.
By building on local knowledge, relationships, and strengths, we help communities respond to crises, prevent harm, and foster collective healing, dignity, and hope.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 to equip trusted frontline leaders with the training and tools to support healing in the months and years ahead.
HT Nepal is a small (yet mighty!) team of survivor-advocates who work deep in communities where gender-based violence, child sexual violence, poverty, and injustice shape daily life:
- 1 in 2 marginalized women will experience violence in Nepal.
- Suicide is the leading cause of death for women and girls.
- Child sexual violence affects boys as often as girls.
Add climate disaster, displacement, loss, and political violence, and communities are navigating compounding layers of trauma with few places to turn.
The good news: healing is not only possible - it's already happening.
HT Nepal has trained 4,000 Healing Advocates who reach 200,000 survivors with community-based crisis response, ongoing peer support, school-based mental health programs, and violence prevention initiatives.
Your donation will support flood survivors now, while strengthening a lasting network of community-led healing.
