My husband Mark has been battling colon cancer for 7 years now. In 2014 he was told his colon cancer had spread to his lungs and lymph nodes, which means it is no longer curable with current treatment available. His oncologist has told us about a clinical trial being offered in California that he is eligible for. This trial could cure his cancer but would require the cost of travel and accommodation. He will need to go there monthly for a period of 6-9 months so the costs could surmount to close to $20,000. Please help us reach our goal so that we may send him there! Since he has been off work for 7 years, we do not have savings or assets available to pay for this endeavour.

Update:
On June 16, 2019 Mark had a major heart attack, just one day after returning from the first trip to LA to consult the doctor down there. Due to this heart attack, he will not qualify for the trial for a period of at least 6 months.

Mark’s health has since deteriorated and doctors have told us he likely will not make it 6 months to get down there. His cancer has spread to his spine and kidney now as well.

Mark has hoped to leave a legacy project called Stage 4, a foundation which sells clothing and donates part of the proceeds to families who are affected by advanced “stage 4” cancers.

Please help Mark bring this dream to fruition during the next 6 months so he can leave this earth knowing he has left a legacy to help future families dealing with advanced cancer.
