Everyone should have a Blair in their lives…. And if you don’t, we will share ours with you!
Our Blair is kind, generous, open-minded, super handy/Mr. Creative, a goofball and we love him for it. But above all, he is a devoted husband, loving son, amazing friend and an all around great guy.
You need a helping hand? He’s reaching out. You need an ear? He’s listening. You need a friend? He’s there on a moment’s notice, no questions asked.
And that is why it is our turn to give back…
As you know, our lives can change on a moment’s notice. On Wednesday, April 5th 2017, that moment came for Blair when he found himself at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, CA pleading for his life. His prayers were answered when he was admitted under the care of a truly amazing team of angels working at the facility; from the front desk to the team of nurses and doctors.
After a few months of seeking medical attention for acid reflux (GERD), a cough and flu-like symptoms, Blair was diagnosed with a grapefruit sized malignant mediastinal germ cell tumor and rushed immediately into treatment. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy: 4 rounds of 5-day treatments. The road ahead will be tough, but with a Warrior mentality, positive attitude and his beautiful wife Amy by his side, Blair will no doubt conquer this challenge with a smile on his face.
Just prior to his diagnosis, Blair and Amy had selflessly taken in his mother as she battles her own health issues this year. Due to taking on the caretaker role for both Blair and his mother, Amy has temporarily put her career on hold. As you can imagine the stress of financial burden does not make the road to recovery any easier. THIS IS OUR CHANCE.
