My name is Cory, and this is my 7-year-old Golden Doodle, Wrigley. He’s been my rock through my toughest times, but now he’s the one who needs help.
A few days ago, Wrigley’s world was turned upside down when he suffered a shattered leg. I’ve already spent $1,500 on emergency care just to get him stable and on pain management, but the hard part is just beginning. He needs surgery immediately to either repair the fracture or perform a life-saving amputation.
I’m doing everything in my power to get him out of pain, but I’ve hit a wall. I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income, and I’ve already been denied for emergency credit.
This surgery costs more than my entire monthly check, and I simply don’t have the funds to make it happen on my own.
The money will be used for:
• Surgery (either a plate to repair the bone or an amputation)
• Biopsy to confirm if there is underlying bone disease
• Post-op meds and follow-up care
I have never asked for help like this before, and I honestly hate that I have to do it now. But Wrigley is my world, and I can't give up on him. Any amount helps get him back on his feet, and if you can’t donate, even just sharing our story would mean everything to us.
Thank you for your support and for looking out for a veteran and his dog.
