Hello friends, if you don't know me, my name is Leah. I've been Jaden's partner for the last 5 years. I'll be organizing this fundraiser to help Jaden pay for the care she needs, and for the life she hopes to build after.

This past Thursday, December 26th, Jaden fell victim to her depression and almost succeeded in taking her own life. Luckily, she sought help before it was too late, and was brought to Saint Mary's Hospital to recieve emergency treatment. We have been here since then awaiting her placement in an inpatient facility where she will get the care that she needs.

Not all of these are reasons, and these are not all of the reasons, but Jaden has been struggling this last year especially. She was laid off from her job, she lost her car, she had to move in to a less than ideal living situation, she cut off abusive family, she discovered several health issues that are still unexplained, and she is fighting with the medical system to get the gender affirming care that she needs.

We know that staying in the hospital this long is going to cost us a lot, and depending on where she is placed, it is going to cost us much, much more. This is on top of monthly expenses that Jaden won't be able to pay for herself while she is busy receiving treatment.

I wish for Jaden's focus to be only on recovery and feeling better, and for financial troubles to be the furthest thing from her mind during this precious and delicate time. I understand that this is a pipe dream, but I'm going to do my best to make it her reality.
