Our beloved Maia was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and will be taking time off of work to be healed. She will be undergoing chemotherapy the next 12 weeks and, although it will be a tough road ahead, she is a beautiful, strong and powerful women who will be even stronger as an outcome. Maia is a mother, daughter, role model, friend and so much more to so many. Recently engaged to her amazing partner Dennis, this Go Fund Me will be a light of hope and support for their beautiful partnership ahead.
Maia is a Registered Nurse at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley where she is a valued and loved co-worker on a stroke unit. During this tough year of Covid 19 she has seen more devastation then any other time in her career. As a nurse for over a decade she has dedicated her life to healing others. She has a unique gift to show tremendous compassion to each person she comes into contact with. Maia is able to make everyone in her life feel special, cared for, and loved.
Maia is a free spirt, she sees the world with great optimism and love. She is so full of life and laughter and her energy is so much fun to be around! She is always looking to grow, learn and better herself for her community. Currently she's in a holistic nursing program to expand her horizons and touch even more lives. In addition to the chemotherapy she is committed to using the tools she has been learning to heal herself through functional holistic medicine looking at root causes and living her best life. With this experience there's no doubt it will bring even more healing opportunities.
