To those who may or may not know, my family has recently been hit thee worst news ever. Nikola Simic Sr. (Ghost), has been diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma, lung cancer. As everything has happened so fast, from what we thought was Pneumonia and just an emergency room visit. It has now turned into a gut wrenching diagnosis with non stop appointments and procedures.
There is still a lot of unknown such as the stage of the cancer. The pulmonologist and the oncologist are still doing work ups to rule out if it has spread anywhere else. But one thing we know for sure is that our family is now about to be faced with some real life battles over the next few months and year.
Nik has been going through multiple Bronchoscopies and scans to determine the options we have to fight against( Adenocarcinoma).We are also being told that if it has NOT spread anywhere else, then the plan will be to move forward with surgery(Lobectomy). Yet if it has spread or found anywhere else, then the only other option will be Chemotherapy and Radiation.
Either way, this is a very hard hit for our family; mentally; emotionally and financially. With all of Nik's appointments, along with him being in so much pain, he is not stable enough to work at this time. So now our family is currently living off a one person income . And with me now being his caretaker, it makes it very difficult for me to go to work. Yet I have to it to keep us afloat with our day to day need and bills etc.
While my family is still trying to process all of this, I am trying to support and be present for our 5 children in any way they need me to be. As well as taking care of Nik. It just makes it very hard to work especially knowing its just not going to be enough.
So I am asking family, friends, just anyone with kind hearts or who is led to, to donate to our family. Cash donations, meal donations and transport donations (Uber, Lift) would be great support.
We will be forever grateful to you, Any donations are never too small. As the next few weeks will tell us more , we are also asking for healing prayers for Nik and family as a whole and prayers of the hands of the skilled of his cure.
