I am passionate about healing the earth and believe that change starts at home. As a grandmother, I want to lead by example and show my family and neighbors how we can care for the land in a way that benefits everyone. To do this, I am seeking support to take a college course in permaculture design from Oregon State University.

With 80 acres of land, I have a unique opportunity to create something truly special. Instead of traditional farming, I plan to transform part of my property into a food forest. This will provide ethical, organic produce for my family and neighbors, and serve as a model for sustainable living.

The course I am taking is PDC PRO, a 20-week program for those wanting to gain the skills of a professional designer. It includes all the curriculum required for the internationally recognized certificate, a comprehensive report template with 21 expanded assignments, personalized written or video feedback from a professional designer each week, and live small group consultations over Zoom every other week. By the end of the class, I will have a high-quality professional Site Design Portfolio and the skills to create lasting change.
