Since October, my brother-in-law had been fighting with everything he had to beat a rare and serious brain infection. A headache that turned into a migraine, that turned into a rare form of meningitis with every possible complication along the way.

Remarkably, he recovered at a rate that astounded all of the medical professionals involved. After a little over a week in inpatient rehab, complications forced him back into the hospital

He spent Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, his 45th birthday and Valentine's Day in the hospital. 

On 2/21 after a heroic fight, Hemant's body just couldn't fight anymore. While our hearts are absolutely shattered, we are grateful that he is no longer suffering and is at peace ❤️
