Please join us in praying for and supporting Baby Kate and the Ogawa Family through their hospital stay and recovery!
On April 20th, Baby Kate had an accident in the kitchen with hot water, resulting in a hospital stay at the Hillcrest Burn Unit and has been suffering from 2nd degree burns and the procedures for cleaning her wounds. They had a brief stay at home, reunited with her big brother, Theo, but baby Kate and her mom, Katie, caught a flu and have just started to recover.
After going for a wound cleaning and redressing on April 28th, Baby Kate was re-admitted to the hospital when they discovered she needs skin grafts for some of her burns to better heal. They’re projected to stay at the hospital for another 2 weeks for monitoring and cleaning.
The Ogawas have family housing in SD and have stayed by Baby Kate’s side through everything. They’ll go between their home in Murrieta and the housing in San Diego to see their 2yo son and be together as a family when they can.
We’re raising money to help ease the financial burden of being out of their home, driving back and forth, meals and groceries, and all the unexpected expenses of long hospital stays.
Baby Kate is truly such a happy, easy going infant. Gabe works at St Martha’s Catholic Church as their Youth Minister and Katie cares for their sweet kids at home. Their family is community oriented and so generous - now we get to gather around them and support them in every way we can!
Please pray for complete healing for Baby Kate, comfort for her parents and brother, and for peace through all the difficult decisions and hard experiences they never thought they’d suffer through.
God bless you!
