Hi, my name is Maureen Cassidy, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Jessica.

On the night of March 8th—just four days before her first birthday—my sweet niece, Ashlyn, was attacked by a dog. Thanks to the quick actions of her older sibling and her parents, the situation didn’t become even more devastating. Still, the injuries she suffered were serious.

Ashlyn required cranial surgery to remove shattered pieces of her skull and to clean and repair the damage caused by the attack. Her medical team is optimistic about her recovery.

We are raising funds to help cover medical expenses and the many unexpected costs that come with a traumatic injury and extended recovery. Any amount—big or small—will make a meaningful difference for Ashlyn and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
