On the night of December 4, 2025, I was walking out of my house toward my car when I was suddenly ambushed by my neighbor, Job Gamera (Joe). Without warning, Joe ran toward me and began shooting, hitting me in the abdomen. In that moment, Joe was preparing to shoot again, and I feared for my life. Acting to protect myself, I loaded my gun and responded in self-defense. I survived the incident, but Joe did not. After the shooting, I was rushed to the hospital and underwent two emergency surgeries. As a result of my injuries, I lost a kidney. I spent two weeks in the hospital and am now recovering from serious, life-altering injuries. This experience has been incredibly frightening and has changed my life in ways I never expected. While I am grateful to be alive, I am now facing significant medical bills and basic living expenses as I recover and adjust to these permanent changes to my health.
