Hello, my name is Madalynn, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest seasons of my life.
Recently, I had an extension of my spinal fusion surgery, and I’m currently on medical leave from my job as an assistant toddler teacher at SEARK Early Childhood Development Center. I love my work and the children I care for, and my goal is to get healthy so I can return to making a difference in their lives.
On top of recovering, I’m about to start my fall semester classes at the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith. I’m working toward my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, with the dream of becoming a special education teacher for preschoolers. Education is my passion, and I’m determined to reach that goal, even while navigating these challenges.
Right now, I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat — making things to sell, searching for ways to bring in extra income — but the recovery process is long, and the bills keep coming. Unfortunately, I was denied aid from DHS for food stamps, and while I’m in the process of reapplying, I’m struggling to cover even the basics. I’m just trying to keep up with my monthly bills, my car note and make sure I have food in the house while I heal and continue my education.
This is not an easy thing for me to ask, but any help — big or small — would mean the world. Every donation will go directly toward essentials like food, bills, and transportation costs so I can focus on recovery, school, and getting back to work.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any kindness you can offer — whether it’s a donation, a share, or just words of encouragement. I’m truly grateful for the support.
— Madalynn
