Healing & Rebuilding Emma's Life After Loss

Donation protected
Emma shared her home and life with Shaggy aka Jay, for 17 years and had been there for him through thick and thin. As we know he bravely battled brain cancer for three and a half years and it was Emma's determination and encouragement that helped him live through this time with positivity and verve.
Emma has worked with homeless people for nearly two decades but it's a difficult job and as Shaggy's carer, she decided in the last six months of his life to leave her job to care for him full time. They had a happy final summer together, with friends and family visiting and spending precious time together. These memories Emma will always cherish.

There have, inevitably, been financial strains since leaving her job as a result. Now in her time of grief she must also begin to rebuild her life. It's become necessary to move from their flat and as it has been a dream of hers to spend some time in France, now seems the right time to go, as part of her healing and to regroup.

So, we are fundraising to help make this happen. As a thank you from all who loved Shaggy and appreciate her dedication to him, if you would like to help by contributing, however big or small, it will be greatly appreciated.

Love and thanks to you all, Zoe x
