Patience needs your love, support, and financial help. She escaped death at the end of a needle when she found herself in a high kill animal shelter. She was accepted by the Green Dog Rescue Project in Windsor, CA, where her extreme shyness was gently respected, while she was encouraged to come out of her shell and trust people. As part of her program to recovery, she was placed in a loving foster home and allowed to go at her pace to gain confidence. On April 6, 2018 a strong storm came through town and she became frightened and managed to escape the safety of her foster home. For several days she was spotted on a very busy and dangerous section of the 101 Freeway, stuck in the center median. On April 10th, a careful and fast acting team of volunteers managed to secure her and bring her to safety. An immediate trip to the veterinarian revealed some of our worst fears... she had been hit by a car at some point during her time on the run. Her Pelvis has been broken in multiple places and she will need serious and expensive surgery to help her recover. Please donate today to help this incredibly sweet, shy, and 'patient' young girl.
