On August 1st, our beautiful mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and it came as a shock to us all. She raised and took care of three children by herself and now it's our turn to take care of her. But we really could use y'alls help. We were unprepared for the drastic lifestyle change that fighting this battle would cause. She needs chemotherapy but most importantly, she needs love, support, and to not have to worry about anything other than getting better. Since our mom's diagnosis, she has been staying at our older sister's home to be cared for and looked after. She was there when our mom was first admitted into the hospital. She's been there for all of her doctor appointments so far. Our sister's the definition of the generous and responsible older daughter. She's our rock. But being the rock has come at a cost to her own job and ability to pay her bills. Becoming the home nurse and chef at home for our mom meant that she was not able to go to work.
She now needs financial support so that she can continue leading the charge in helping our mom get better. We are on a mission to ensure that she has an abundance of life giving foods, love, and comfort.
