Hi, my name is Mia, and this campaign is for my little girl, my dog, Minnie — the 12-pound heartbeat that has carried me through grief, change, and the hardest season of my life.
Minnie was originally my mom’s dog. They were inseparable. Minnie was my mom’s shadow, her protector and guardian. She barked for help and kept my mom company when she fell in her bathtub and didn’t leave her side until the Paramedics arrived... When my mom passed, Minnie came home with me and I knew I owed her everything she had earned. Loving Minnie feels like holding onto a piece of my mom that’s still alive — warm, breathing, and full of her personality.
Today, Minnie isn’t just a dog — she’s my protector, my guardian and my other dog Oakley’s only friend. Oakley is a tough, stubborn, sensitive staffy who doesn’t like other dogs… except Minnie. She’s the only one he trusts — the only dog he sleeps next to, shares toys with, and curls up with 80% of the day. Minnie is the center of our small pack, our little family. She’s the peace; the safe place for all of us.
Recently, Minnie’s health has taken a serious turn. She has progressive periodontal dental disease causing painful gum recession, bleeding, infection and discomfort. She needs urgent veterinary care — diagnostics, medication, and likely dental surgery. I’m doing everything I can, but the medical costs for this type of care are overwhelming.
I’m humbly asking for help to give Minnie the care she needs and deserves.
She stood by my mom when she needed her the most — now it’s my turn to show up for her.
Your support will help cover:
• Veterinary exam & diagnostics
• Bloodwork, X-rays, & dental imaging
• Medication to control pain & infection
• Dental surgery/extractions if needed
• And Follow up Care
If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign truly helps.
Thank you for reading our story — for caring about Minnie, my mom’s memory, and this little pack that’s trying its best to stay together. Minnie is gentle, loyal, a little bossy with treats, and provides so much therapeutic emotional support throughout or healing process. She reminds me every day that old age, disease and death can never alter or kill unconditional love.
With love,
Our little Pack Family.
