My dear friend Brittany has a heart of gold and is one of the most optimistic people I know. She has faced breast cancer square in the face and kicked it's butt. She has healed her body in ways that doctors didn't see possible. Brittany healed her body through changes in nutrition over the last several months. She has done amazing! However, over the last two months some unknown virus or medical allergy triggered her body to start attacking certain muscle groups and has progressed to the point that she no longer can safely take care of herself.  

She has had home health coming into your home to ensure she is safe and sound, however due to the medication  that she now has to be on to stop the progression of this rare muscle disease, Dermatomyositis,  she has to head to a nursing facility to ensure she can be save from COVID-19 and have the assistance needed to care for herself. 

Because this year has been interesting, we all know it has, but for Brittany it has been even a little more challenging.  Because of the new medical issues on top of the many payments she has set up for her medical costs she is in need of a little extra assistance to make the healing process easier for her.  She can still work remotely and is hoping to continue to due so while she is at the facility however, due to COVID-19 things have already changed. 

Many of the aides that she needs for her home are not approved by insurance but will be needed to make her current home accessible when she is discharged from the facility. 

She is an amazing woman. She has taking on an amazing role of being a nutrition coach and luckily will be able to keep up with that while she is rehabilitating. That is where her passion is, seeing others succeed and helping cheer them on. 

We just want to assist Brittany and her sweet family while she is away, so that they can keep their home. This means having rent paid and her sons needs met during this time while he is working and going to school.  This potentially means finding a new home that is more accessible for her. One level, with minimal stairs.  It also means making sure her medical costs are taken care of so she can heal without unnecessary stress.
