Our beloved Ikah was in a terrible bike accident about 1 month ago in San Diego. He was riding his bike around Harbor as he normally does when a couple of elderly woman wandered into the bike lane. He swerved to avoid hitting them. Due do his fast reaction he turned too tight which caused him to go over the handle bars. 

This caused significant fractures to both sides of his left tibial plateau - the area between your ankle and knee.  He underwent an exhaustive surgery and was hospitalized for a week. His recovery is a slow and extremely painful one. He has zero weight bearing on his leg for months as his bones are trying to heal and mend which is now also affecting other areas of his body and causing more pain as well. This has made simple daily tasks nearly impossible and requires assistance 24/7. This means that it will be months before he is able to walk and even work. 

As many of you know, Ikah has been making booties shake all over San Diego for a couple decades making himself a staple in the SD nightlife. He has been an amazing friend to many of us and has a knack to always make the people he is with just feel good and happy. Either by the music he is playing or the way he actually takes an interest and listens to people. This is the dude can have the most interesting deep conversations and then flip it to the silliest and funnest conversations. 

Now it's our turn to make him feel good and show him some love by offering some money to support him in his time of need as he is unable to work and has no income at the moment.
