Healing Journey for Jovon Mitchell

This Gofund me page is in support of our really good friend, Jovon Mitchell, and her family.  Jovon was diagnosed with ALS in 2014.  Since then, her husband, Nate, and daughter, Lauren along with close family and friends, have been taking care of Jovon in their home. The disease has taken a huge toll on Jovon. She is no longer able to walk, speak or care for herself in any way. From Western Medicine to Holistic Healing, and changing their lifestyle, they have tried many different avenues and traveled to see many doctors in hopes to find a way to heal her body. 

They have decided to embark upon another journey to find healing for Jovon.  First, they would like to add a small 1st-floor addition to their home due to the fact that Jovon is no longer able to walk up and down stairs. In this new edition will be a 1st-floor bedroom, full bathroom equipped with an infrared sauna, and a healing room. These changes will make it a more comfortable, relaxing and healing environment for her.  They would also like to continue with a holistic approach by taking a trip to Denver, Colorado to visit the Neuroplastic Functional Institute in hopes to find and be under the care of an amazing homeopathic wellness team.  Being under this type of care, we believe, will help rejuvenate Jovon.  This journey for them will take a lot of love, patience, energy, time and money.  

Jovon is such a light!!! As long as we have known the Mitchell's, they have always been so supportive of their family, friends and the community around them.  They give big...with an open heart,  even when they can't, they will find a way!

With the amazing technology that is available for those who have ALS, Jovon was able to communicate to us in her own words what she would like to say.....here's what she wrote:

“Hello World!
I am asking for help for several reasons.  For the last few years, my family and I have been battling a condition called ALS.  It hit like a ton of bricks.  After the doctors told us there was nothing that they could do we started a healing journey of our own. Up to this point, we have been using our own financial resources to pay for the healing methods not covered by our medical insurance provider. We are now fiscally tapped out.  So, moving forward with my healing, there are a few things I would like to achieve.  I want to build an addition to my house that has a bedroom, a massage table, infrared sauna, big windows, and a bathroom.  I also want to take my family on a healing journey.  I am seeking natural ways of healing and I want to find like-minded people or professionals.  Unfortunately, we do not have the funds necessary to embark on this endeavor.  - Jovon”
