Healing Jaxxon!

In July Jaxxon’s mommy, Jazmeen, received a call while at work from the baby sitter stating that Jaxxon fell down the stairs . When asked how many steps did he fall from , the babysitter didn’t know but stated that he cried briefly then got back up and started playing as if nothing happened . For the next 3 days Jaxxon was himself until Jaz went to check on him when he was asleep and noticed he had labored breathing & vomited. Jaxxon was unresponsive so Jaz rushed him to the nearest ER . When they arrived he started seizing so they put him in an induced coma and ran some scans . The scans showed a significant brain bleed (subdural hematoma) that was causing pressure on his brain . They immediately transferred him to a different hospital to undergo emergency surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain (craniotomy). After his procedure they did a post op MRI that showed that the bleed also caused a stroke due to the pressure . The only thing to do now was to monitor the inter-cranial  pressure  (ICP) and wait for the swelling to go down before they brought him out of the coma . His ICPs weren’t what the doctors wanted to see so around day 5 , they had a sit down with Jaz to have the conversation that no parent wants to have. They recommended to remove life support because they didn’t foresee Jaxxon being able to even breathe on his own yet alone anything else. Jaz refused and told them that they don’t have the final say . A month or so after the Doctors tried to give up on him.. Jax is able to breathe, swallow, & open his eyes on his own. He also responds to stimuli. After 2 grueling months in the hospital Jaxxon was able to be discharged & continue recovering at home. Since he’s been home he’s been making great strides such as tracking with his eyes but unfortunately he is unable to eat, walk, or talk on his own YET . He’s minimally conscious so he doesn’t follow verbal commands YET . Since the accident Jaz hasn’t left his side. She continues to fight & advocate for treatments for his best recovery . Through thorough research she came across HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen) treatments which help significantly with patients , specifically toddlers , with traumatic brain injuries . As many of you know Jaz is a dedicated mother that loves Jaxxon dearly so this whole situation has turned her entire world upside down. But she cant quit . She still has to work to maintain their home & Jaxxon’s medical bills on her own . So I made this go fund me in hopes to alleviate some of the stress on her plate . Unfortunately Tricare doesn’t cover these treatments . One round is $6,000 this gives him 28 sessions. A session being an hour and a half each . And the Doctor is recommending 2 rounds. When improvement is seen in the first round , she plans on doing a round every 6 months . Please donate if you can , anything helps . If you aren’t able to donate , please keep them in your prayers & good thoughts.

We thank you all for all of the love that you have given my sister and nephew in this time. We also thank you in advance for any donations, prayers, well wishes from this point on.
