Healing Hudson (Stage 4 high-risk Neuroblastoma)
Donation protected
On 22 December, Hudson was admitted to American Hospital in Dubai after several weeks of persistent fevers that we could not seem to get answers for. After numerous blood draws, scans and tests for potential diagnosis, Hudson’s bone marrow aspiration confirmed a result that we gravely feared. On 31 Dec Hudson was diagnosed with high-risk metastatic Neuroblastoma that has spread to his bones and bone marrow. We immediately made plans to depart the UAE for Cincinnati to get him the best care possible. We arrived on 3 Jan and were immediately admitted to Cincinnati Children’s. His diagnosis was confirmed by the oncology team and we began our 15-18 month journey to get Hudson cancer free.
We are asking for your help as we want to give Hudson any possible advantage in his fight. The ability to consult specialists and receive second opinions will be critical to increasing his odds of permanent success. With consistent treatment over 15-18 months this will aid in transportation as well as lodging to allow our family to remain as close as possible during extended inpatient stays. Additionally, we came back to the US with what we could fit in our suitcases. Due to this we have to repurchase toys, clothes and basic essentials as it is unknown when our possessions will be able to get to us.
If preferred we will also be adding things that we need on Amazon as well. The link to the list is here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/20W4IGJWS42HJ?ref_=wl_share
Any excess in funds and any duplicates of normal day to day items at the end of this journey will be donated to the hospital and the furthering of Neuroblastoma research.
