2024 was one of the hardest years our family has ever faced—and heartbreakingly, 2025 hasn't let up.

My mom, Keylee Swallow, suffered eight seizures last year. Each one was terrifying and traumatic, leading to multiple ER visits, testing, and long hospital stays. Because of her ongoing health struggles, she lost her job—an enormous emotional and financial blow to someone who has always prided herself on working hard and caring for others.

Just as we were trying to find some stability in 2025, life threw another curveball.

My dad, Pat Swallow—our rock and steady hand—was rushed into emergency surgery due to a serious issue with his colon. Doctors had to remove a significant portion, and he’s now in recovery, facing a long road ahead with more treatments and a mountain of medical bills.

Both of my parents are the kind of people who give without hesitation. Whether it’s volunteering at charity events, offering their home to loved ones, spending time with their grand children, or showing up with a hot meal when someone’s hurting, they’ve always led with love and generosity. Now, they're the ones who need help—and asking for help doesn’t come easy for them.

But the truth is: the medical bills are stacking up. Between ambulance rides, emergency room visits, hospital stays, surgeries, tests, and the loss of income—it’s overwhelming.
