I am a 67 year old disabled senior citizen. I have a dog named Nova. I rescued her 9 months ago from an abused situation. She is 3 years old York/Miniature Dachshund. Recently she messed up her spinal (I don't know how). But her spinal injury was severe enough that she wouldn't use her rear legs. She is now being treated at Bluegrass Veterinary Clinic in Beaver Dam, KY. She is in kennel rest receiving muscle relaxers, steroid shot, and non inflammatory medication. She is also receiving red-light therapy to help with the inflammation. She needs a MRI/CAT Scan to see how badly her disc is damaged. She might even need spinal surgery which cost $7,000 to $8,000 for a slipped disc repair. I don't have pet insurance, so this is why I am setting up a Go Fund Me page for her veterinary costs related to her spinal injury.
