We’re reaching out to ask for love and support for Catherine Riggins-Newman. If you know Catherine, you know she’s one of the most caring, kind-hearted people around — always ready with a big smile and an even bigger hug for her family, friends, and her community.
During the weekend of 10/3, Catherine started feeling unwell and made several trips to South Central Kansas Regional Hospital to get help. By Friday, 10/10, her fever remained high at 104°F and she was no longer able to care for herself. She was transferred to St. Francis Via Christi in Wichita, KS on Saturday, where she’s now receiving the care she needs.
Right now, the doctors believe she’s fighting an aggressive meningitis infection, but we’re still waiting on results from tests, including a spinal tap and MRI. She’s currently on antibiotics, IV fluids, and is in good hands with the medical team.
As you can imagine, the sudden hospital visits, testing, and overnight care are adding up quickly — and with Catherine being self-employed as a Massage Therapist, this time away from work means her income is also on pause. We're hopeful for a full recovery, but it's going to take time, rest, and support.
We’ve started this GoFundMe to help ease the financial stress so Catherine can fully focus on healing. Any amount, big or small, would mean so much to her.
If you’d prefer to donate directly (rather than the GoFundMe platform), you can also send support via Venmo at:

Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and kind words. Catherine feels it — and so do we.
With love and gratitude,
Her daughters, Sarah and Crystal, and her whole family
