Hi, I am Helios' grandpaw. My son rescued him several years ago during a really tough time in his life (I guess tough for both). I truly believe Helios has pulled my son through some really bad times. They are soulmates. My son is getting back on his feet, even has pet insurance. But Helios is now crippled by double ACL tears in his back legs. I am guessing from old scars he was hit by a car a few times while a stray. Bottom line, insurance will pay about $4,800 out of the $7,800 for the needed treatment. It is between putting him down or getting another 10 years of love. I am not in a position to cover it all. Any help would go a long way to healing two souls.
