Healing Hands: Supporting Tom's Recovery Journey
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
We're reaching out to humbly request support for my brother, Thomas “Tom” Cunningham, and his family. Tom is a self-employed contractor and the proud owner of Cunningham Remodeling & Renovations. Tom suffered a serious fall at work last week, resulting in multiple fractures to his vertebrae and his left arm. Following a four-day stay in the trauma unit at Strong Memorial Hospital and surgery to repair his arm, Tom is now back home. However, he faces significant restrictions, with hopes that the fractures in his lower back will heal without the need for surgical intervention. Tom must wait six weeks before even starting physical therapy, leaving him unable to work for the foreseeable future.
As a self-employed individual, Tom doesn't have the safety net of sick leave or disability benefits for support, making this situation all the more challenging for him and his family. Funds raised will go toward Tom's medical costs, household bills, groceries, and other essential needs and expenses while he is unable to work. Tom is not just a contractor; he's a devoted father, a loving husband, and a man of faith. He's always been quick to lend a helping hand to others in their times of need, and we are hoping our friends, family and community members will help support him and his family as he begins his journey to recovery. Your consideration, generosity, and compassion are deeply appreciated.
