The love of my life, Hannah, has been fighting an unimaginable battle. After surviving a devastating 3-car collision in 2020 that left her with a traumatic brain injury and 10 surgeries, we’ve now learned she faces another life-altering challenge.
Hannah has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome (MALS). In MALS, a ligament compresses the celiac artery — the major blood vessel supplying the stomach, liver, and pancreas. This cuts off vital blood flow and causes excruciating pain every time she eats. Over the past year, she has lost 30 pounds and made countless ER visits before finally receiving this diagnosis in April 2025.
The only path to recovery is a highly specialized surgery performed by just a handful of surgeons in the country. Because Hannah also has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a complex connective tissue disorder, her case requires even greater expertise. After months of tests, appointments, and searching for answers, we finally found hope with Dr. James Black, head of vascular surgery at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, who has agreed to take on her case.
Hannah’s surgery is scheduled for September 2nd. She will spend at least a week in the hospital and face a long recovery ahead. Unfortunately, the surgery and related expenses are not covered by insurance. Between travel to Baltimore, hospital stays, recovery costs, and years of prior medical bills, the financial strain is overwhelming.
We are reaching out with open hearts to ask for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, will help bring Hannah closer to living without constant pain. If you are not able to give financially, sharing this campaign or sending love and healing thoughts means just as much.
Hannah is the strongest person I know — a true warrior who has endured more than most could imagine. With your help, she has the chance to reclaim her health, her strength, and her future. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us in this fight.
