It has been an amazingly tough couple of years. I had to have brain surgery because of bacterial meningitis and they found that my heart was different and I had open heart surgery, and now I'm recovering from another brain surgery from fungal meningitis. In this time I have been on and off work based on my ability to perform actively as a chef . I have fallen behind on student loans, medical bills, and living expenses. Although I have received some benefits from Vermont (food, and transportation to medical appointments), I have fallen behind on student loans, medical bills, and living expenses. They are saying that I need to be on medical leave from work for 5 or 6 more months, and I'm really stressing on how I'm going to make it. Please, help me if you can. And please know that I will put good energy back into the world when I recover...for sure!
