Hello human family. My name is Mapula Rabothata Carroll. I have pancreatic cancer with lesions on my liver as of November 2021. For 28 years I have been a registered nurse by profession. I stopped working on January 16, 2022 due to excruciating pain, increased fatigue, and weakness. I worked through the height of the COVID pandemic, taking care of patients who were in the hospital and rehab. Now, I am in the role of patient, and am in dire need of financial assistance from my fellow humans who will read this - I hope you are moved to help me. I need to raise $50k for care not covered by my health insurance that will provide integrative cancer treatment, and will give me a better chance of survival. My diagnosis in November came as a surprise. Who could expect to receive a bleak diagnosis out of the blue and be told you may not have as much time with your loved ones because of a horrid disease?! I am a mother of 5, including a set of triplets. Four of my children are currently in college. My husband is self employed as a maintenance man. l am a believer! I know God has something better for my life! I hope this will touch your heart and you are moved to help me live my life a little longer. I want to be able to see my children graduate from college. I am pouring my heart out and begging for support from you wonderful people of the world. Time is of the essence to prevent further spread of the cancer to other organs. I have support from my family, and my children, who are also believers. We know that only God heals but we have to do the work.
