Hey everyone, my name is Chad Shifflett. Anyone that knows me, knows that I have a big heart and great passion for animals. I have a dog named Prince, he is 12 years old and he is my whole world. Recently he has had some medical issues that are leading to him needing surgery. Prince had to go to the vet on Wednesday, February 7th. He was shaking and had loss of balance, he had a 106 temperature, they gave him fluids and antibiotics for about 2 hours. I went to pick him up the vet said his temp dropped to 104 and the tremors had stopped and she said "I dont know if its infection or neurological", but was thinking something in his brain. She said we should take him home and check his temperature and love on him. If he got worse, I would have to go to emergency vet and do comfort care. But upon leaving they picked him up and the tumor had an abcess that ruptured, they got 2 cups of fluid out of it at the vet office and its still draining. They think that was the problem now. His temp is better now and he is home but he will have a major surgery that is really expensive (scheduled for Feb 16th) for a tumor that has multiple sections on his hip. He will also need alot of post opp care I love this dog so much and will do anything for him. Any donation, no matter the amount, will be appreciated and help a lot.
