Friday evening, April 24th, 2026, we were devastated to hear that Payton and Maverick were involved in a horrific motor vehicle crash in Cleveland, Ohio when someone traveling almost 100mph hit them sitting still in a 25mph speed zone. The individual had just stolen a car and was fleeing the area. Multiple vehicles were involved with at least one driver not surviving.

Payton and Maverick were both transported to the hospital with Payton being in critical condition with the most serious injuries to include multiple fractures in her pelvis, a broken femur and internal bleeding.

She will need multiple surgeries to fix these injuries. The surgeons do not believe she will be stable enough to travel and are suggesting she stay in Ohio for her rehabilitation, however long that may be.

Payton and Maverick are set to be married in just a couple of months. Payton is also graduating from the University of Tennessee- Knoxville this May.

This is devastating news for everyone. There will be tremendous obstacles on the road to recovery.
