Hello my name is Rachel Baribeau and this is my momma, GiGi!
Thank you for prayerfully considering helping us!
Thank you for considering supporting me and listening to my story…. My name is Georgia Kelley (AKA GiGi Kelley). Last spring I was diagnosed with Stage IV inoperable metastatic breast cancer. Around July of 2017 I knew something was wrong with my breast, but I had no medical insurance, and I was hoping that the problem would heal itself. On top of this. I was trying to close our Brick and Mortar antique and clothing shop in Pine Mountain GA (due to a long period of declining sales) and move back to our home in St. Clair County AL. Thankfully we got the shop closed right before Christmas. Last February I turned 65 and I was able to see a doctor. The doctor examined me and immediately ordered a PET/MRI scan, the next week I started treatment under Medicare ( the results revealed that I had cancerous lesions on my liver, bones, skull and breast).I had 30 radiation treatments to my left breast, my hip and my brain. The copay still left us owning a lot because my monthly shot cost more than $500 plus copay on every visit. I had to wear a custom mask during the treatments to my head and the radiation made me very sick. Somehow I was able to make it through the radiation treatments. I have lost all of my hair and lost my stamina and ability to walk long distances, but I am persevering. Thankfully I have a beautiful family and friends who are praying for me and helping with finances as much as they can. My great Husband Gary gets me through the day by preparing meals and being my full-time care giver. He is unable to work right now as I have to travel to and from Birmingham AL to the Bruno Cancer Center and physically I can not be alone right now. We draw $2050 Social Security Retirement together and our mortgage is $1700. With my mounting medical bills plus our regular bills that everyone has has, we are unable to make ends meet.
I am very thankful for my faith in God and for the love He has shown me. I believe I can beat this with His help and I am asking you to please consider giving and sharing my story. I have always been a giver and tither. I know He will get me through this illness.
I pray you will consider helping me, any amount will help. Also my daughter and I have started an online clothing store and the website is finally up and going. If you shop for women’s clothes, I ask you consider shopping with us this holiday season. Every little bit adds up. Check us out on www.TheJoyfulFashionista.com. Please share on Instagram, twitter and fb to help me.
May God bless you richly for your generosity.
