Dear Family and Friends,
On October 1, 2021 Arlene came home after work and found her husband Brian unresponsive. He had suffered a massive stroke. She called 911 and began CPR. He was rushed to the Trauma Center at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. The team of surgeons and nurses advised that the bleeding was so severe that Arlene had seconds to make the difficult decision on what to do next. Ultimately, her faith in God guided her to tell the surgeons to proceed with an emergency craniotomy to stop the brain hemorrhage and save Brian’s life.
Brian spent the next month in the intensive care unit. With 18 years of training as a registered nurse, nothing could ever prepare Arlene for this. Now she was just a wife at her husband's bedside praying for a miracle. The doctors had all said that if Brian made it out of the ICU, he would have a long, difficult journey with no guarantee to full recovery. Not once did this deter Arlene from losing faith. With the endless support of Bejar, Gonzales and Sanchez families, lifelong friends, prayers warriors, constant support and advice from friends who are medical professionals, Brian has shown the will to fight. And so we will fight alongside him.
We believe in miracles, and everyday Arlene and his family have witnessed miracles big and small with Brian’s progress. Though it is a long road ahead, every single day he shows signs that he is recovering. Let’s keep supporting and uplifting Brian on his path to healing and full recovery. Arlene and the family have been overwhelmed with gratitude with the outpour of love, prayers, and support from everyone. In the past two months Arlene has been focused on Brian’s rehabilitation and the multiple hurdles that come with navigating this complex system of insurance, medical expenses, and legal matters. It’s finally time for us to give our financial support. Your donation will help alleviate the financial strain that Arlene faces.
God is always good. With His healing hands and your constant prayers and support, we have faith that Brian will continue to heal and fully recover.
Feel free to leave a message here to share any words of support and encouragement.
