On January 18 this year, while crossing the street, Doris was struck by a car. At the age of 80 this remarkable person, who has spent a life of service to all those around her, suffered a stroke and a traumatic brain injury. Always a fighter, she has been able to make steady progress over the past months, but in addition to cognitive injury, she is still unable to walk, use much of her left side, or care for herself. At the end of March, despite steady progress, Medicare stopped paying her expenses, placing an extreme financial burden on the family. With many months of healing yet to go, we are asking for help in bringing 'Dory' back to the family and friends she has loved and served for so long. Thank you!
