Hello, I am writing this on behalf of my daughter's grandfather, Galdino Santillan. On March 4th, 2026, he and his work partner were on the way home from work when a big truck pulling an RV crossed the center line and hit them head-on doing 55mph+. Galdino and his partner ended up in the hospital, where Galdino is still currently at. At this time, there is no time frame for when he will be able to go home.

In the accident, his right wrist was shattered. The day it happened, he had surgery to reconstruct his wrist. He was told in 10 days he will have to have a second surgery to continue to reconstruct it. His large intestine had a tear in it, and he had to have surgery to have an ostomy bag placed. He has to wear it for at least 6 months; at that time, they will do a colonoscopy to see if it has healed. If it has, then they will have another surgery to remove the bag. Multiple ribs are broken along with his sternum. One of his lungs was collapsed but has begun healing already. He has a fracture in his lower spine; the doctors are waiting to see if it will heal on its own. They would normally make him wear a back brace to hold it in place, but since he just had surgery for an ostomy bag, he is not able to wear the brace right now. He may end up having to have surgery on his spine if it doesn't heal on its own. They don't know what the future holds, but I'm sure he will have to do physical therapy once his body starts healing and he is able to get up and walk around.

Galdino is such a hard-working man and does everything he can to take care of his family as they are the most important thing to him. His wife, Alma, does work, but Galdino is the main provider in the home. He does have medical insurance, but we all know how that works. His medical bills are going to pile up quickly. He will not be able to go to work for a long while.

I prayed over his body and have faith God is going to fully restore his body.

John 13:34 says, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

1 John 3:18 says, "Let us not love with words or speech but in actions and in truth."

I have faith God is going to provide for their every need and fully restore Galdino's body.

Please pray for healing of his body, for God to take away any thoughts or feelings of depression or despair, for comfort, strength, and peace beyond understanding for him and his family.

Also, prayers for his partner Martin and his family. I don't have any information on him other than his whole left side of his body was broken and in pieces.

God walks with us through the valleys as much as He does on the mountaintops!

Normalmente le pondrían un corsé ortopédico para mantenerla en su lugar, pero como acaba de ser operado de la bolsa de ostomía, no puede usarlo por ahora. Es posible que termine necesitando cirugía en la columna si no sana sola. No saben qué depara el futuro, pero estoy segura de que tendrá que hacer fisioterapia una vez que su cuerpo comience a sanar y pueda levantarse y caminar.

Galdino es un hombre muy trabajador y hace todo lo posible por cuidar de su familia, ya que ellos son lo más importante para él. Su esposa, Alma, trabaja, pero Galdino es el principal proveedor del hogar. Él tiene seguro médico, pero todos sabemos cómo funciona eso. Sus facturas médicas se acumularán rápidamente. No podrá trabajar durante mucho tiempo.

He orado por su cuerpo y tengo fe en que Dios va a restaurarlo por completo.

También pido oraciones para su compañero Martín y su familia. No tengo más información sobre él, aparte de que todo el lado izquierdo de su cuerpo quedó fracturado y destrozado.
