On Saturday, March 21, 2026, my brother Rory Tringali and his daughter Valentina were involved in a very serious motorcycle accident in Hollywood, Florida. My brother Rory was critically injured and had to be rushed to the local trauma hospital at Regional Memorial Hospital and had to have an emergency craniotomy for a life-threatening brain injury. He sustained a subdural hematoma, multiple facial fractures, a fractured clavicle, and skin abrasions and bruising. Fortunately, due to the rapid response of the emergency response team and police, he survived this devastating injury, but he will have a long recovery and rehabilitation.

My niece also was injured and suffered a head laceration, multiple abrasions, and bruises, and is very traumatized from the incident, seeing her father get critically injured. Rory is a well-beloved man and loving father who is self-employed in medical equipment sales and will now face many medical bills for his hospitalization and , and then his ongoing recovery and therapy. This will cause great financial strain on him and for the support of his daughter. Any small contribution would be of help to overcome the challenges that lie ahead. We are optimistic that he will make a full recovery, but with any brain injury, it’s unpredictable how long this process will take.
