Healing And Helping Hands Needed for Carissa
“Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourself.“ -Philippians 2:3
Anyone who knows Carissa Ramirez knows she consistently puts others before herself and asks for nothing in return. Going above and beyond to help others is second nature to her. Family, friends, and community it is now our time to support Carissa and her family in there time of need.
Carissa is a loving and supportive mom to Jack, Chole, Carsan, Kitty and husband Jeff. As a working mom of 2 active teenagers and 2 rambunctious preschoolers she rarely takes time for herself.
For weeks Carissa has battled tooth pain and avoided surgery to be present for her family and coworkers. Unfortunately her waiting led to an infection and a swollen jaw. She was admitted into the hospital on Monday and treated with antibiotics and steroids.
On Wednesday Carissa had a successful surgery to remove the infection. She was recovering and preparing to come home on Friday when she spiked a fever and her throat swelled. She was immediately rushed back for emergency surgery.
There were some complications during surgery. Carissa is now heavily sedated and on a ventilator. The family is faced with many uncertainties and challenges. Carissa’s mom flew in today, from New Orleans, to be with her, Jeff, and the kids.
Your prayers and support would be greatly appreciated. I’ve set up this GoFundMe me account to help cover the many expenses Carissa and her family will continue to incur. Medical bills, travel expenses, and child care are just a few of the expenses I am hoping this account will help contribute to.
Carissa, Jeff, and the kids have always been the ones to lend a helping hand to others. It feels inappropriate for me to sit back and not share the struggles and misfortunes this family faces. If you are in the position to bless this family with a donation, it would be greatly appreciated. Prayers, well wishes, and sharing this GoFundMe are just as appreciated.
Thank you in advance for all of your help.
